MEET OUR DECEMBER ARTISTS AND POETS!
Meet our December Artists and Poets!
Taste the local flavor, experience the local art. Featured this month, our menu shares the spotlight with talented artists and poets from our community. We are hosting an artist reception here on Sunday, December 7th at 5:00pm.
Alice Sundstrom
Alice Sundstrom received her Master of Fine Arts from the University of Washington. She spent her career as an award winning graphic designer and art director creating works that generated results for her clients. She also taught art and graphic design classes part-time.
Now based in Sarasota, Florida, Ms. Sundstrom devotes much of her time to painting and drawing. She continues to win awards, but for work that is very different from what she did as a commercial artist. She uses a variety of media to create imagery that uniquely blends imagination and reality.
The benefits of having strong creative and critical thinking skills were clear to Ms. Sundstrom throughout her career. To help foster these skills in others, she has focused her art on images that require a workout for the viewer’s imagination. She believes a well toned imagination leads to creativity, critical thinking and problem solving.
Ms. Sundstrom’s artwork is included in numerous private collections throughout the United States. It can be viewed at

Poet Cedric Hameed’s work blends ancestral memory, spiritual reflection, and the everyday language of the heart. His performances and workshops—ranging from the Kennedy Center to Yale—invite audiences into deeper awareness, healing, and self-love. His book Balance offers a poetic journey through awakening, vulnerability, and inner transformation. Cedric writes and teaches from the belief that every soul carries its own light waiting to be remembered.

Judith Rosner is the author of the poetry collection Paradigm Shift (Kelsay Books) and her work appears in literary journals such as Her Words, The City Key, The Jewish Literary Journal, The Naugatuck River Review, Soul Poetry, and in print and online anthologies. She holds a Ph.D. in Sociology and retired first from a career as college professor, and then from her firm The Rosner Group, a training and consulting company that specialized in leadership development and executive coaching. She and her husband split their time between Sarasota, Florida and New York City.
